Black business leaders in America face unique challenges and must develop a considerable perseverance in order to press through the obstacles that they face, says ۿ۴ýUniversity Trustee Barron Witherspoon Sr.

In The Black Exec, Witherspoon writes candidly about what he says are the myths Black leaders face. “These myths include common narratives surrounding belonging and value: Your colleagues don’t respect you, can’t understand you, and won’t listen to you. They lowered the standards so you could be here.”

With 35 years as a leading executive at Procter & Gamble and placement on numerous “most influential lists,” Witherspoon was named one of the Top 50 Multi-Cultural Leaders by the National Diversity Council. He is an ordained minister and the author of The Fallacy of Affinity, a book on the importance of multi-cultural worship. He is an equestrian, an involved member of his community, a proud husband, and a father of two adult children.

Copies of The Black Exec are available on Amazon.
