TUSKEGEE, Ala. (January 6, 2015) — ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½University has again earned recognition by U.S. News & World Report. ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ranks No. 6 among historically black colleges and universities that have the highest average freshman retention rates for first-year ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½.
The report states that more than 70 percent of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ at the schools ranked on the report returned after their first year with ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½placing sixth of the 12 schools listed. Schools that were unranked by U.S. News were not considered for this report.
In its annual listing of the nation’s colleges and universities, ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½University was again placed at No. 5 out of 69 Historically Black Colleges and Universities with published rankings for 2015. In total, there were five Alabama institutions named to the list. ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½was the only one ranked within the Top 20.
