TUSKEGEE, ALABAMA –— ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½University continues to lead most historically black colleges and universities among rankings by U.S. News & World Report. The university ranked No. 4 among all HBCUs and is the top-ranked HBCU in the state of Alabama.

The 2024 U.S. News & World Report Rankings showcase ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½University's impressive achievements:

  • No. 1 in Top Performers on Social Mobility - Regional Universities (South)
  • No. 8 in Overall Rank - Regional Universities (South)
  • No. 25 in Best Value Schools - Regional Universities (South)

¿Û¿Û´«Ã½President Charlotte P. Morris noted that these accomplishments reflect ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½University's dedication to empowering its ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ and making a meaningful impact on higher education. "We are especially thrilled to remain the No. 1 HBCU in Alabama, where our institution profoundly impacts our state and beyond," said Dr. Morris.

Dr. Morris also noted that Tuskegee's dedication to social mobility is not just a statistic; it's a testament to our mission of empowering individuals and communities through education. ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½University's rankings result from its commitment to academic excellence, social mobility, and providing a quality education to all ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. The university meets the criteria defined by the Higher Education Act of 1965 for HBCUs and is part of the White House and U.S. Department of Education's Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity.

The rankings are based on a comprehensive methodology, including graduation and retention rates, social mobility, graduate indebtedness, and peer assessment. ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½University's faculty, resources, and financial commitment to instruction have contributed significantly to its rankings.
