On Thursday, Nov. 8, UNCF representatives will offer a campus workshop about scholarships, fellowship and internships opportunities as part of its UNCF College Tour. Students are invited to learn how UNCF's scholarships and programs can help them achieve their educational dreams.
UNCF’s visit will include three sessions for ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½, student leaders and administrators. All events will be in the Tompkins Hall Conference Room, which is across from the Office of the Dean of Students:
UNCF is the nation’s largest and most effective minority education organization. It is second only to the federal government in providing scholarships to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ with financial need. It provides financial support to more than 60,000 ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ at 37 HBCUs, including ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½University, by awarding 10,000 scholarships and internships each year under nearly 400 programs.
Since its founding in 1944, UNCF has raised more than $4.5 billion to help more than 400,000 ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ receive college degrees at HBCUs, UNCF-member institutions, and other two-year and four-year institutions and with UNCF scholarships. UNCF plays a critical role in enabling more than 600,000 ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ each year to attend college and get the education they need.
