As a transformative leader, Captain Minter is directly responsible for strategically developing critical partnerships between industry, educational institutions, and the community to maximize the exposure of youth interested in pursuing aerospace careers. He also consults with industry and educators on Next Generation Technologies, training, mentoring, and human capital development. Captain Karl Minter retired from United Airlines as a B-777 Captain with over 22,000 hours of flight experience with both civilian and military aircraft.

Originally from St. Albans, Queens, NY, he has been involved in aviation for the last 46 years. Before becoming a U.S. Air Force Pilot, he worked as a Flight Test Engineer for Sikorsky Aircraft Company in Stratford, CT. He is a Combat Decorated Command Pilot. He has flown missions to Grenada, Panama, Desert-Shield, and Desert-Storm while providing safe and efficient worldwide transport for the Department of Defense, White House Staff, and national leaders. Lt Col Minter retired from the U.S. Air Force after 26 years of military service; he holds numerous medals, citations, and certificates. In addition, to being a retired Captain for United Airlines, he is an Aviation Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Aircraft Accident Investigation credentials and was an Airline Pilots Association (ALPA) Representative on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) – Operations Specification Working Group (OSWG) and the Avionics Harmonization Working Group (ASHWG).

Capt. Minter is an Engaged Thought Leader and a Member of the Board of Trustees, ۿ۴ýUniversity. He is also a National Board Member for INROADS Inc. and a Board Member for the Friends of ۿ۴ýAirmen National Historic Site (FTANHS). Capt. Minter is a former Chairman of the Board (BoD) and Board of Advisors (BOA) for the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP).

Capt Minter’s goal is to “collaboratively create opportunities for our youth to become the Next Generation of Aerospace Professionals.” Capt. Minter mentors both ۿ۴ý and professionals pursuing aerospace careers.

Capt. Minter is a Doctoral Candidate (PhD.) in Organizational Leadership at Northcentral University, School of Business. He has an MBA (Honors Graduate) from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle University. Capt. Minter currently lives in Virginia and is married with three adult children.
