Students wishing to appeal a Housing and Residence Life fine imposed by hall director or counselor should follow the procedure below:

Step 1:  The student must make a complaint in writing to the hall director/counselor involved, citing supporting evidence justifying the complaint/appeal. Copies of complaint will be forwarded to the dean of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ and director of housing and residence life.
Step 2: The hall director/counselor involved reviews the written complaint/appeal and supporting documentation, then interviews the complainant and any witnesses before making a decision on student’s appeal.
Step 3:  The hall director/counselor notified the student of his/her decision in writing, and provides copies to the dean of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ and director of housing and residence life.
Step 4: Â If the student is dissatisfied with the decision, he/she may appeal to director of housing and residence life, along with providing all supporting documentation.
Step 5: The director of housing and residence life may appoint a committee to review the appeal or present the appeal to the Residence Hall Judicial Board for review and recommendation(s).
Step 6: Â The Residence Hall Judicial Board provides the director of housing and residence life with its decision in writing.
Step 7: The director of housing and residence life notifies the student of the decision and provides copies of the notification to the dean of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½ and vice president for student affairs and enrollment management.
Step 8: If the student is still not satisfied, a final appeal may be made to the dean of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. All supporting documentation is provided to the dean of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½, including decisions and recommendations previously made by the director of housing and residence life and the Residence Hall Judicial Board.
Step 9: The dean of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½, after review of all pertinent documentation, renders a decision and informs the student of that decision in writing, as well as provides copies to the director of housing and residence life, the hall director/counselor involved, and vice president for student affairs and enrollment management.
